Disadvantaged and Minority Owned Enterprises

On February 11, 2011, the U.S. Small Business Administration published a final rule to the regulations governing the section 8(a) Business Development Program, the size regulations, and the regulations affecting Small Disadvantaged Businesses. The Federal Register publication covered more than 40 pages and was the most comprehensive revision in more than ten (10) years. The changes will take effect on March 14, 2011. The changes effected every aspect of the program from eligibility to mentor protege rules to affiliation in joint ventures.

Do not get caught by these changes. We can navigate these waters for you from 8(a) certification through assisting you with negotiating a mentor protege agreement. We have extensive backgrounds in joint ventures and teaming. Call us for assistance with your issues!

Skilled Senior Attorneys

The firm provides skilled representation to clients under the supervision of skilled senior attorneys. The firm is well established such that its most Senior Attorney, Mr. Fred Walker passed away in the recent past but left behind his knowledge and integrity as examples of the way, we feel, a law firm should conduct itself. The younger members have assumed leadership of the firm (50-70 years of age) and exemplify the ethics and skill which Fred Walker will be forever remembered for at the firm.
